Treo 750, BlackJack with Windows Mobile 6 in the wild

We'd reported this would happen, and, well... it happened. In Microsoft's booth at CTIA, anyway. It's anybody's guess exactly when it is end users will be able to drop Windows Mobile 6 on Treo 750s and Samsung BlackJacks of their very own, but we take it as a pretty solid sign that Microsoft is comfortable showing it off already.

I've all but given up hope that SPRINT will update its Q to Windows Mobile 6. Sprint is the worst.

Heck it would be nice if they even advertised it a bit.

The reason windows-based smartphones and PDAs stink is because of the latency issue. Windows leaves open applications after you move from one to another, and eventually the DRAM gets clogged and the device slows to a trickle. This doesn't happen on Blackberries, because RIM was smart enough to shut down the application you are NOT using. somewhere in between these two systems is perfection: the ability to run more than one program, but while not having so many open at once that the device performance suffers.

So I fail to understand why no one in the blogosphere is reporting from CTIA about whether this Windows Mobile latency problem has been fixed on Windows Mobile 6.0? Anyone??
