It turns out our fears that
MVNOs would
fall out like flies before finding their footing might be overblown -- for some of 'em, anyway. Want proof?
Amp'd Mobile states that it is nearing the 200,000-customer mark after having a pretty strong first quarter to kick off 2007. Just three months ago at the top of the year, Amp'd said that that it had ended 2006 with more than 100,000 customers. One quarter later, the MVNO has apparently almost doubled that number -- impressive indeed. Some highlights: Amp'd gained 87,000 new activations in the first quarter of 2007, with 84% of that being of the postpaid kind. The average revenue per user (ARPU) hovered in the area of $100 per month as well, which is twice the industry average.
now if they could just improve that customer service...
and if only ampd canada didn't suck.
Worst customer service ever... its is quite funny to look up their better business bureau report and to see the terrible reputation they have...
it is quite entertaining as a customer to look at their better business bureau report and know that it all finally makes sense!!!
Worst customer/support service (amp'd) on the planet period.
I am going to take legal precautions toward amp'd mobile. They have false advertisement. There is no way I can check my minutes and there's no way to know when and even if my cycle starts over. Therfore How am I suppose to know if I went over or not. I called them to ask if I went over they said they can not tell me that info. So how can they bill me for minutes they dont know if I used? This is the most obnoxious unprofessional customer service I ever experianced! My bill went from $200 to $1300 in 3 weeks time, IMPOSSIBLE! All the repersenative could say was you went over your minutes.
