Rogers rolls out MY5 unlimited calling / texting add-on

Rogers Canada wants to get in on the "calling circle" feature that many US carriers are now promoting (like Alltel and T-Mobile), and it looks like it's done just that. The "MY5" calling / texting plan feature on Rogers lets subscribers add the new feature to their existing calling plans an add-on and enjoy unlimited texting to those five special numbers and unlimited calling to those same five phones -- wired or wireless -- on any network. The catch: with the unlimited calling to your five buds or family members, the minutes are only local. So, no unlimited MY5 calling across the entire country of Canada here. You almost had us at hello, Rogers.

I buy a plan with MY5 but can not register 5 friends in MY5.
Every time enter my username and password, it refuses me to log in. Why ?

The #s have to be local to your home area. If I have a 416 #, my fave 5 have to be in the Toronto area, for example.

Actually no, it means that when you call one of your numbers (which can be anywhere in Canada) you have to pay long distance on your calls if they are outside your local calling area.

We have a similar thing with Telsra here in Aus. It's on prepaid thought and its only telstra numbers that you can text and call.

what if someone in your my 5 goes international..but they still use their phone while in another country..do u still have to pay to text them if they are out of the country but still using that number in your my5?

i got the MY5 but i didnt add any numbers when i bought it
they said that i can add the numbers online but i DONT KnOW HOW!?!?!
