It seems AT&T is intent on keeping Video Share phones in the pipeline (as well they should, considering that
LG CU500v owners are the only ones invited to the party at the moment). Next up might be this, a
gold V3xx dummy unit received by a tipster that clearly has its front-facing cam intact. As much as we'd like to believe the dedicated front cam is intended for true two-way video calling -- something HSDPA is perfectly capable of supporting -- we suspect it's to make the Video Share functionality just a little more useful when compatible firmware arrives. Makes sense, right?
[Thanks, anonymous tipster]
Why make a V3xx with 2 cameras? Why not release a quad band version of the maxx V6 which already a camera on the hinge and a 2 megapixel camera with LED flash? At least it will look like a real upgrade instead of another version of the original Razr.
It'll be cool when they can start releasing HTC phones with both cameras. Looking forward to that!
It seems a great photoshop was done, as this dummy model has no camera in the black bar. The only difference on the v3XX gold is the color and price.
If Brad would do his homework he would realize that this is not a photoshop. These dummies arrived in stores just this week. And it clearly has a location for the camera in the hinge. If you recall the current Gold V3xx does not have the same hinge as the gray V3xx.
Actually the new rebranded at&t samsung syncs are in stock now and have video share.
cool so when r this cool new phones coming out:
a707
v3xx
what else?
and when video share coming?
Teehee, in Canada we've already got full out video calling.
By "In canada" you really mean "in toronto."
As i stated before, this is nothing more than a color change. After even more research, the v3xx is not looking to be video share capable anytime in the near future. However, the rebranded SYNC is now video share capable. It is limited with the following post going into more details http://www.m4um.com/Cell/post-34.html . I also recieved the dummy phones this week, and none of them have any white marks of any sorts on them. Look closely.
I actually own this phone and there is only one camera. So i have no clue where this is from because mine is from AT&T.
