Motorola's video-centric phone is... the MOTORIZR Z8

Yeah, the RAZR 2 is alright, we guess, but we're not idiots -- and that's exactly what Motorola appears to have taken us for over the past week leading up to today's announcements. Not only did Motorola's team drone on endlessly about the MING, GSM Q (now known as the Q8), the Q9h, the Z6, and the Z8 -- even daring to cast some in a new-announcement light -- but it now seems that the multimedia powerhouse CEO Ed Zander was getting us all fired up over last week was the aforementioned Z8. Yes, the very same Z8 that was announced months ago at 3GSM. Next time, Ed, cut to the chase and let us know when you're going to be rehashing an old phone to hype your conference, kthxbai.

So if I'm understanding this correctly the "most immpressive" feature is supposed to be this 30fps video playback speed. But isn't it posted somewhere else that the Q9 also is supposed to be capable of the same "o-so-impressive" feature!?

I bought my mother one of those high fashion KRZR's per her request and set it up, only to find that they are so incredibly shite.

She's happy enough with it being pretty, obviously; but my god are they bastards to work with, with hardly awe-inspiring guts for the green either.

I pleaded with her to let me pick her up a K800i for the same money but she wouldn't have any of it.

when will motorola learn that alot of us are freaking sick of anything razr related? All hype but no real reason to pick this up...i'm on verizon and I just ditched my razr for lg enV 9900 and couldnt be happier...moto...the moneys no longer in slim phones that you consider "niche"...in my opnion its in phones that have a qwerty keyboard or...some...distuingshable feature..oh and nice comment al lol

It also runs UIQ3. That is pretty cool IMHO. I've got an M600i though, so no need for me to "upgrade" ;)
