The amount of electronics thrown away rather than recycled in 2007.
The EPA reports that 82% of electronics disposal in 2007 ended up in the garbage (mostly landfills) rather than a recycling center. (source: EPA, July 2008)

That's one thing I miss, a MPx200-like smartphone....small, flip....
Ideal for those who really don't text/email so much but still like the capability of "seeing" their email and sync'ing contacts over the air via ActiveSync.
I have the Motorola Q now, great phone.....still a little too big though for what I need it for.
The Motorola RAZR is really quite a good choice. I have been using it for several years and I have only good impression of using it. Especially when using "sonomobile" appilcation installed on it, that allows integrate content of mobile phone with web part(internet server). Looks absolutely beautiful....but the picture quality is not good.

This was the biggest disappointment and biggest waste of money. I hate this phone with all my being. The original Razr was awesome, but this one just sucks.
I've been using a Linux Motorola phone for a year now. I have a build of mplayer on it and that's honestly the best thing about the phone. the fact it plays xvid 320x240@30fps. i use my v3xx for everything else (3G and dialpad rather than touchscreen). it's like mixing my two phones into one package. sweet!
@ shortfuse - that's the versatility that i look for in a phone. sounds like you have a cool setup. mPlayer is beauty.
This looks like a cool step in the right direction. wonder how much it will cost... 499 for a 20 gig version, 599 for... okay, joking.
And the dead horse is rolling into Motorola headquarters... BAI GAWD!! ED ZANDER IS BEATING IT WITH A BAG PHONE!! HAS HE NO SOUL????

This is such a cool phone! Does anybody know what company in the US is getting this phone (verizon wireless, sprint, t mobile, cingular?) and when? and how much it will cost? If you have any information.. let me know!
A Verizon branded V9m prototype was for sale on Craigslist last week, so that carrier is all but assured. The V9 will have UMTS850/1900, and there's only one big carrier using that one, AT&T. The V8 is for carriers without 3G, so that one might be heading to T-Mobile.
But that's speculation.
