Danger Sidekick to get GPS?
If a job posting is enough to float a rumor (and in our world in can be) then it would seem that Danger is getting ready to roll out some type of Bluetooth driven GPS functionality. The job posting -- though sadly gone now -- was for a position to "Formalize the Java Native Interface and glue layer for binding the BT serial support as a GPS provider of data." While this definitely doesn't seem to hint at some sort of internal GPS functionality, we will of course take what we can get. As always with this type of thing (by "thing" we mean "rumor"), if we hear more we will get it up just as soon as we have it in our hot little hands.[Via The Boy Genius Report]

forget upgrading or ota for the SKIII, bring out the Sidekick IV already!! haha with a user replaceable battery that lasts a long time and switch carriers...give it to Cin..ATT for EDGE and no more "no service" errors!!
It sounds like they just want someone to write a version of the danger OS that supports gps attachments
Is it me, or are the sidekicks incredibly overrated and old already? GET AN EN-v, or an OCEAN.. they can do WAY more than that crappy screen and pearl-copied scroll wheel.
