Is this the iPhone in the wild?
Cameraphones have never been known to snap the best photos (except for you, dear N95), and the purported 'in the wild' shot of Apple's impending iPhone that you see above is certainly no different. Supposedly captured by an editor of the Geeknuz blog at a Silicon Valley restaurant, the pic is said to show an Apple employee dinging around with his unreleased handset, "taking pictures of the person he was with and...talking about the functions of the phone." Apparently the Man from Cupertino made no effort to hide the fact that he was sporting one of the most anticipated consumer electronics product in history, even responding -- albeit quite tersely, it seems -- to a Geeknuz inquiry about the lack of third-party application support. But while this whole story certainly sounds plausible, the unidentifiable device in the gentleman's hand could be anything from an old HP iPaq to a five-dollar tip calculator, so please do your duty as responsible readers and begin dropping your wild theories and baseless debunks into the comments below...

who cares
looks like an apple logo on the back.
Hugh Grant works for Apple?
In 17 days and 22 hours, you will be eating you words, macintrash.
(countdown at everythingiphone.com)
Hey baldy, shut up. You're offensive and you're an idiot.
faris & nvenice: obviously you guys are for the iPhone. Regardless of any posts that you guys think are "offensive" on here, i still think that Macintrash has a point though. Steven Jobs acts like it's so freakin' hard to use a phone. Is it really? The majority of carrier-released phones here usually don't require you to read the manual in order to know how to start and end a call, text message, and input contacts, etc. Unless you've never had a cell phone in your entire life . . . would it be even remotely hard to figure it out. I would like to think that all of us here are at least a bit smarter than that, right? At least I don't want to have to feel like a product, any product for that matter, has to be "dumbed down" if the supposedly intented audience is "into technology". The iPhone is a looker (no doubt about that), but it's specs are just "ok", at least for some people out there it is. Heck, if you want something that looks nice, has a large hard drive space and is made by Apple (lol), that's really all I would see the iPhone as.
That's my 2 cents.
P.S. Is there even any need to call anyone an idiot? I guess you guys really do believe the iPhone is magical (literally . . . fairy dust and all). Chill out a little, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
The wise iphone fans say "let's wait and see what the market success will be".
The wise iphone enemies say "yes, let's wait and see what the market success will be".
So... let's wait and see what the market success will be :) In the meanwhile, let's continue calling each other idiots :))
EXXAAAAACTLYYYYYY!!!
The article asks to guess what it is, not to provide yet another forum for whether the iPhone will suck or not cuz NOBODY KNOWS.
I should buy an LG Prada and just post pics of myself with it saying, "iPhone in the wiiildd..." I'd lie to everyone and tell them it was an iPhone because most of them really wouldn't know the difference.
I wonder how many fights and stolen iPhones there will be. Gang shootings and stuff...
I honestly don't see anything...Apple is making you people insane.
i love lamp
who cares if someone has it i would bet my life savings that the iPhone is going to be crap. The lack of 3 party software support and no buttons bothers me, for all those o.c.d. people they will be cleaning the screen like crazy because there is no stylus.
youre all just upset because you wont be able to afford one
so im pretty sure you should keep your negative comments to yourself
why add a comment if you dont care?
get over yourselves
