I'm not sure on the tri-band HSDPA.
If you look at the specifications in the User's Manual (page 114 of the pdf) it looks as if this will be GSM 900/1800/1900 and HSDPA 2100.
As in, not much use in the USA unless you want to use this thing on T-Mobile's EDGE network.

Wow, I had just taken the article at face value, but you are definitely right. The manual doesn't include any UMTS band other than 2100! Retraction.
