What "is" the difference between the two models other than one being targeted to professionals and the other to consumers? The 680 has a VGA cam and the 755 has a 1.3MP, so.. The difference is $130. Sure if I was a consumer I'd probably go for the cheaper if I had the option, but why give the option? What is the point?

Dan

Comments on Palm Treo 680 on Sprint? I also much prefer the in-call controls of the Palm OS /Garnet to Winmob. What would a Treo 680 have that would differentiate it enough from the 755p? Same OS, same processor, same screen, etc. etc. Do you think that the lack of rubberized paint, SD card slot, and the enhanced phone app make it worth it for Sprint to offer this device? Both devices would have EVDO Rev. 0 so you're not saving any money on the radio.

There's a reason why there's a 680 and 750 on AT&T.
1. Treo 750 = WM5 (which includes licensing costs whereas Palm OS doesn't really have those licensing costs now that Palm has acquired perpetual rights to it).
2. Treo 750 has UMTS/HSDPA capable

Those two reasons ALONE make sense for AT&T to have a 680 and 750.
