kai-cherry, I couldn't agree with you more. People have expectations for this phone that are really high, and it's expected to be bleeding edge hardware, so maybe thats behind the lament of the lack of 3G. Honestly, I don't think its a deal killer, and Apple obviously has alot invested in this phone, so I'm sure that the lack of 3G won't be the end of the world, and the software is probably optimized to work well with what it has. As far as the amount of memory, Apple figured most people already have iPods, so there really isn't a need for an obscene amount of memory, considering the iPhone's already high cost.
Alot of people just have nothing better to do, and yes, iPod's have had their quality issues, but show me any product distributed in that volume, that doesn't have some form of quality issues? That's why companies have warranties.
Personally, I'll buy one, use it happily, and then sell it when I hear confirmed rumors of an upgrade and buy that one too.
