Samsung's HSDPA-enabled SPH-W2400 does DMB TV
Samsung's SPH-W2400, which we spotted a month or so ago thanks to the FCC, finally has a face and a few more details to boot. The snazzy Anycall-built slider sports a unique rotating screen, DMB TV tuner, a two-megapixel camera, MP3 player, Bluetooth, microSD slot, TV out, language translation software, and HSDPA connectivity. Best of all, it appears that this phone will basically work in every corner of the modern world, but sadly, we've no idea where you'll actually find one for sale nor how much you'll be asked to cough up for it once you do.

Sooo... what I don't get is that if it is going through the FCC, why wouldn't we see it here?
Considering that it's a Korean phone, it probably won't show up here at all. Phones go through the FCC to be approved for use in America, though they may never be sold here; they're usually sold in other countries as global roaming phones. Basically if it's possible to use a phone in America it has to be tested and approved by the FCC.
At least that's my understanding.
I guess they just run it through, "just in case" hahahaha.
Some could say though that it's a waste of money if it's not going to be used here. I'm going to law school this year, so we'll see what I can dig up.
why is it filed under "Sanyo"?
