New Sprint site hints at "wireless evolution" on Independence Day

Sprint seems set to evolve something or another on Independence Day this year, and while the flash is trippy, we have no real clue what's up. The teaser shows a countdown to the big day along with a few keywords such as music, messaging, TV, search, and Navigation. While none of these point to a specific tech or device, forums are a buzzin' with dreams that it is for something like WiMAX, or even a complete national roll-out of EV-DO rev. A. Either way, we will keep the site refreshin' and see how long we can continue kinda lovin' the song in the Flash animation.

Maybe they're hinting toward a net subscriber gain for Q2? That would be big news!
artist is Honeycut, song is "Day I Turned to Glass".
that's an intriguing little site.
Well it's the pillars of Sprint's new vision for wireless media. It's going to be EVDO unlocked to full potential. Count on it as a day for phone releases and EVDO being touted to the teens and 20 somethings. I can't wait. It will be a huge day for Sprint as they tout their wireless network and show their whole new business model.
Sounds pretty cool...too bad its all 1900 MHz PCS coverage...
Maybe Sprint marketing dept is jam packed ful of idiots. Yeah that's it.
I think they're going to debut WiMax
No offense, but I'd be more excited about a "Wireless Revolution"
Nope, its an internal training/marketing event we are having. Its not a big deal. They've already done it in a couple of markets. Ill try to find out where the one on the 4th is. But like I said its just internal training. Who gets ya'll this stuff without explaining what it is?
Lets see. (a) good work on the week late reporting (b) "too bad it is all 1900Mhz PCS" -- umm, unless you are talking about WiMax which won't work on PCS frequencies and (c) I hope it is something BIG, but I bet it is just the announce of the FUSIC II.
just cuz you send me a bill doesn't mean I'm gonna pay...
guess they'll be offering free service ;p
Rev. A is going to be a big yawn for me if Sprint doesn't bust out an au-esque cornucopia of new phones to go with it (and don't forget the video calling- Rev. A's got the bandwidth to do it as proven by au (KDDI) so that's no excuse either).
Looks like the Sprint Hippies have take the site down (or it is blocked to non US users).
Maybe they're announcing they will be laying off another 10,000 Nextel employees.
