Motorola SCPL in the wild
Egads, could it be? Journeying a long, thorny path from executive teaser to fanboy mockup to reality, the mythical Motorola SCPL has finally shown up in the hands of someone who isn't a suit-wearing Moto employee. Bearing a fairly strong familial resemblance to the ultra low-end MOTOFONE, Boy Genius tells us that the SCPL is insanely thin -- thinner than the RAZR 2 -- and sports a QVGA display, 2 megapixel cam, quadband GSM, and JUIX. Missing from the specs are 3G data and any sort of memory expansion, but if Moto can get this one out the door with a non-bank breaking sticker price, they may have a winner they desperately need.

Ugh, wipe it off...
THis Phone looks like Crap. WHats the big deal. Engadget you disappoint me.
Looks way too close to the MotoFONE... which honestly, I'd rather have instead. They should release that phone outside of the GSM 900 and 1800 bands though.
100% i don't think there is "Motorola Scapel".
If you said "Motorola Scapel Platform"; maybe yes.
I don't think "Motorola" will show up just for some people because "Motorola Scapel" is real "Big Secret of Motorola" and "Secret Weapon of Motorola".
Why i said "Big Secret of Motorola"? Remember when CES 2007? Motorola just show up the photo of a little bit a part of "Motorola Scapel". If that's "Motorola Scapel" is not "Big Secret of Motorola" and "Secret Weapon", wo "Motorola" will bring the proto type of "Motorola Scapel" and not just show the photo.
Long time "Engadget Mobile" disappointing the "Motorola Fan's" with objectif reviews and comments. I don't know why "Engadget Mobile" reviews and comments like hate the "Motorola".
All new Motorola phones - 2mpx, linux, thin..
OMG
