Motorola Q9m in the wild

Well, it seems the Motorola Q9m has picked Verizon as its first CDMA home in the States and not Sprint as we had previously suggested -- though we aren't counting out this landing at Sprint yet. Our favorite early adopter The Boy Genius has gotten his mitts all over one of Motorola's newest and it is sporting Verizon livery (replete with lovely red accents) as proof of its new home. He seems pretty enthused about the keyboard on the Q9m and goes as far as calling it "fantastic" -- it adds a scroll wheel sorely missing from its GSM cousin and the rubberized back apparently really helps it stay planted in the hands. Of course, this ain't the final word on the handset previously known as "Nelson," but the moment we have the big picture on release date, pricing and all that other good stuff, we'll post it up here.

Ooooh very nice... I can't wait to hear more about this!
does it bother anyone else that they still can't manage to center the screen?
BGR posts always seem like they are written by a not very well educated middle school student.
VERY nice. I like it a lot. Does it come with WM6?
Alright, I'll get to it. :-) and let Mike know with any details.
How does this one stack up to the current Q? Im thinking of upgrading from the Razr. Anyone who has the current Q, give me your take on it.
i have the current Q, stay away! im going blackberry, never again dealing with poor battery life and constant crashes (no data loss, just extremely frustrating)
I have had the Q for almost a year and in general, I like it. I am waiting for the next version, but as I saw below, it may be the same phone (same CPU) and just a different operating system.
I know Verizon will not offer a phone with an FM radio, so I don't really care...
i also agree...stay away from the Q.
it is the crappiest phone i've ever had. my bf has one too, and we constantly have issues- ranging from random shut offs, the phone not taking charge even if i leave it connected to the OEM charger overnight, and (one of the worst) not letting me answer my calls. its quite frustrating when you see someone calling but pressing the "answer" button does nothing.
Q9M for Verizon has the same CPU from the original Q,
same memory, and just has Windows Mobile6 and a pretty little eye candy portion for the vcast crap.
The Q9H for At&t despite being on another carrier, is a true second generation Q phone.
Different CPU, 256mb ram, vs the 55mb in the Gen 1 Q.
and yes battery life in the original Q blew chunks, even with the extended battery.
