Opera Mini 4 goes beta
We thought Opera Mini was pretty good as it was, but the company has taken its smallest, lightest browser through a "complete redesign" for its fourth major release. Codenamed "Dimension," the new version features a Wii browser-like zoom that moves immediately to content -- a good idea when your screen's less than a quarter the resolution of the display the average full-fledged website was designed for. It's still in beta, but they seem to like what they've got going on; they're even putting it head-to-head with the iPhone's supposedly brilliant browser. Adventurous users can check it out straight from their handsets by browsing over to mini.opera.com/beta (manual Palm and BlackBerry installs are available directly from Opera's site).

Neat. Microsoft was trying this with DeepFish or something like that, but they only let about 20 people download it.
Arghhhh!!! Looks like this sort of thing will become standard soon enough.
:)
I have deepfish and it a great browser but i find the new drag to scroll on the opera wm5/6 beta to be faster....
It looks a lot like the S60 browser
Deepfish looks almost exactly the same (played around with it today). Worked pretty good actually.
This guy works like a charm on my Pearl
I blogged about that yesterday. I say that this is revolutionary. This is bigger than the iPhone. Why? Because the 1 billion+ cellphones out there that supports Java who have been stuck with WAP sites can now instantly have access to the full desktop web experience, without having to buy a $600 smartphone and be on Cingular.

it works great, one of the problems I had with 3.1 it was downloading images in their original resolution on my w810 was imposible it kept giving me this painfully water down image and that 5 piece download was a painfull process now I dont have to download the image I can just view it in its original size inside the browser, HELLO WEBCOMICS :D
