Sony Ericsson's W910 gets previewed
Most wouldn't disagree that Sony Ericsson's W910 sure has the look, but how sexy does it remain after handling it for a few? The (lucky) folks over at PhoneArena were able to spend a few precious moments with SE's latest Walkman handset, and here's the low-down thus far. First off, the prototype they played with "would likely see changes" before its final release, which would certainly be beneficial considering the "relatively loud bang" heard when sliding it open, the need for more contrast on the display, and the somewhat tiny buttons. Still, the overall vibe on this one seemed generally (albeit not overwhelmingly) positive, and while it's easy to get stuck in the details, you're still better off waiting for a final review before cementing any judgments in your mind. Peep the video preview after the jump.

I just wanted to say that Sony, Motorola, Samsung, Microsoft and all the other cell phone companies have shot themselves in the foot. I notice that a lot of these companies came out with cell phones that have certain limitations. What i mostly see them trying to do is milking us to buy the next thing in there line up. I can see that with apple too, but not as much, IE the lack of 3g. My main point is each of these companies shot them in the foot, a clear example is the fact that Sony tend not to release quad band phones for there P series. Also they try to make a walkman series and a cybershot series having limitations from one another. Motorola with there lack of OS improvements, and Samsung with there lack of providing a good all in one PDA phone. In some ways I'm really glad apple released the iphone to help push other companies to make better products in Mobile computing. I hope Microsoft knows what to do for there next Windows Mobile 7.
I'm glad you didn't mention Nokia because the N95 has it all and the other S60 devices are on top of their game.
I think you mean 'their', not 'there'. Good points made though. Agreed Nokia have really come out on top lately with the well needed N series devices. Plus Series 40 devices are really coming on well & can pretty much match, if not beat competitors interfaces. I think Samsung is lagging behind, neglecting the UI in favour of shaving milimeters off their phones, while SE interfaces have always been easy on the eye, even if the latest models have been a bit on the large side. LG have taken small steps to improve the horrible UI in the 'chocolate' phones, I hope they continue. But I think it's Nokia that are pushing the hardest to release the most modern, feature packed handsets. The upcoming devices look great, edging ahead of SE in my opinion.
