Who would have ever envisioned this occurring? *ends causticity*

Seriously, their "latest-and-greatest" phones--the 755 and 750--,though much better than their usual devices, were still lacking in innovation. I mean, even if they cannot get their "modern OS" off the ground, they can put the Treo in a sexy form factor, even if that means dropping *some* of their features. (Of course, this phone wouldn't be something you and I would get, but at least it could be something that sells well. I know the Sidekick has a different audience, but when they dropped some key features from it and released the SidekickId, I've found it to be just as ubiquitous as its older, better, more costly brothers.
------------------
As far as corporate implementation, RIM > Palm; if RIM can add some WiFi and smexxiness, so can Palm. Try jumping on this side of the millenial divide, Palm. Psh, just be happy you're still getting profits.

derX

Comments on Palm posts 43-percent drop in profit

Man, I wish I could say that I'm surprised. I like my 755p, the current form factor is almost perfect for me, but there's a number of things they could have done to improve it over the 700p (How about some better java support? How about a better camera? How about some friggin wifi??? Higher rez would be nice too.). It truly amazes me that Palm is still in business, since they don't do Palm OS anymore (Access) and they don't manufacture the hardware (HTC). So what the heck do they do now??? No wonder their support is so crappy...

Andy

Comments on Palm posts 43-percent drop in profit

Going on year 6 or 7 of the Deathwatch... gettin' a little old no?

clicclic

Comments on Palm posts 43-percent drop in profit

What are they thinking? Instead of bringing something their customers want (ie: wifi, better cam, etc...) they give us Foleo, which is something extra for me to carry!!!
