Sony Ericsson flip-flops, P990 and W950 will see updates
Who said the squeaky wheel doesn't get the grease? Sony Ericsson has pulled a 180 on its decision to halt development for the P990 and W950. Sony Ericsson's official statement reads "In response to recent feedback from users and as a result of additional internal testing, Sony Ericsson has determined to offer a further firmware update for the P990 and W950 Walkman® phone ..." No word on if any love is coming for the M600, but the next -- and likely last -- update should roll out in August via the Sony Ericsson Update Service.[Thanks, Tom]

Aww how sweet.
However, as a M600i User, I am really pissed off. SE, look at me and say the M600i works flawlessly...you can't.
The m600 is part of the current generation of phones and was not on that list as those were previous generation. the upcoming models are of the same generation and will share similar firmware updates with the m600.
Please correct me, but P990/W950 and M600 are all first gen UIQ3 SE smartphones. The new generation is, at this time, only represented by the P1.
Are you saying the M600 will receive more updates than P990 and W950?
I have updated my P990i to CDA R6E28! The newest firmware!
However a big fault was not repaired: When you install a new program it appears as default to tool group then you organize the short cut to a group forexample entertainment group. After turn off the phone and turn on, the short cut return to tool group!
What a hell Sonyericsson do! A big bug was not repaired!
and what about the P990 camera in video mode?? The videos are blurry and out of focus since R5 firmware update!!!
I have a beautiful smarthphone with an idiot video camera!!!
This big bug was not repaired too!!!!!
A new Sony Ericsson W970i mobile phone was not announced officially but its pictures became available in Internet. The phone looks impressive. It is going to be a real multimedia center. This phone has a revolving panel which includes an equalizer and buttons to start and stop music and video. You can see it here http://any-review.com/mobile/sony_ericsson_w970i_review.html
