Apple's iPhone Bluetooth Headset unboxed

It looks like Apple's iPhone Bluetooth Headset is starting to trickle out to stores -- Flickr user Nomad found one in Marlton, NJ earlier today and documented the unboxing. No huge surprises -- yep, it's still a minimalist black stick -- but there's a couple nifty features: when both the iPhone and headset are connected to the dual-charging dock, the iPhone's screen shows the headset's charge in addition to its own, and the travel cable uses a MagSafe connector. We're still not sure it's worth $129, of course, but that dual dock does look convenient.

I think it looks like an uglier version of the Sony "HBH-IV835"

And you can bet that the Sony headset packs a lot more features than the Apple one. I admit I haven't checked, but I doubt that the Apple head set support active noise supression for example.

I guess the iphone isn't for people who travel. Or at least this particular option isn't.

I don't need or use docks as I spend 2-3 days in a hotel room.

I do, however, need USB chargers so a phone/headset split cable would be nice.

They probably couldn't care less about me due to my N95 ownership.

These can be charged by USB too. The cord below charges both the phone and the headset at the same time (and comes in the box):

I think for a 129, i will stay with my Jawbone. The best bluetooth on the market.
