Apple runs down iPhone battery basics
Unhappy with your iPhone's battery life? Want to make sure you don't have to send it in for the dreaded $80 replacement surgery? Fear not, Apple's posted a completely obvious guide to getting the most out of your mobile. You know, amazing little tricks you never thought of, like putting it to sleep with the sleep / wake button when you're not using it. Don't worry, Apple says, "You will still be able to receive calls and text messages while it is locked, but nothing happens if you touch the screen." Sweet.[Via Ars Technica]

i guess it just wont work here in Arizona.
Yeah. I live in one of the cooler parts of AZ and it's still too hot for the iPhone according to these specs.

Sure there's nothing wrong with iPhone news, but we do get a LOT here on engadget, and if there are sub-divisions for HD TVs, and one for every different gaming platform, why not make a website just for the smaller iPhone news and leave just the major ipone news for here?
Enough Iphone coverage. Why are we reporting every little thing apple says.
because in case you haven't heard there were more iPhones sold in one weekend than any other phone has ever sold in a month. this is a blog, it is a place people come to get all their news in one place
Why should I have to weed through useless iphone information because a lot of people bought a phone with a cool UI and not much under the hood. The iPhone is like putting spinners, a spoiler, lowering a honda civic but leaving the 4 cilinder engine. It is not much of a revolution except the UI is slick. In other words there are still more people who dont give a crap then who do. I dont mind iphone info but how about they keep it to things that are at least mildly important.
but the fact remains that there are far more people that care about the iPhone than any other one device, and if there are that many people looking for news on it...why not discuss it? what do more people wanna know about, the iPhone or the low end same ole same ole Samsung slider phone that is on this same page?
