Yahoo! GO 2.0 finally hits for Windows Mobile
Don't believe everything you see, while the "coming soon" logos are still plastered all over the device pics on the Yahoo GO 2.0 compatibility site, clicking through will get you to the goods. Yahoo's finally rolling out for all the Windows Mobile 5 -- and it does seem to work on Windows Mobile 6 pro, too -- for all you folks out there that are in need of Yahoo! search, push mail, Flickr, stocks, weather, and such. Install is a breeze, select your phone model, enter your number, and an SMS will arrive with a link to download the software. Follow the read link to get yourself started.

Did not work. Got a message on my phone from Yahoo , that said there are no plans to support Yahoo Go 2.0 on my phone. Treo 700wx.
Got same message on my 700wx w/ verizon
Doesn't work on my 8125 either.
Here's a link that worked for me to download the 8525 CAB:

when i try and do it on my sprint Q it tells me:
Coming Soon
Yahoo! Go 2.0 should be available for your windows mobile 6.0 smartphone soon.

Works perfectly on my Dash...
"Works" on my 6700.
But it's....so....damn.....slow.....
blargh, back to Google Maps and PIE for me. Even the MS Live app was better than this. Oh well.
I take that back. It was slow because I installed it to my storage card...now to actually try it out and see what I think...
Works great on the Touch
Doesn't work for the Mogul/6800 either. Installed it and when I try to run it, it says "this device not supported."
This works GREAT on my BlackJack... dare I say it is the killer app for my phone?? WHERE IS GOOGLE ON THIS ONE?? This app rocks but I only use Gmail!
Works well on the T-Mobile MDA Vario in the UK. If you only use Y mail, search and Flickr, it's a godsend - but if (like me) you couldn't do without google, you'll find yourself slipping into PIE too often for this to be worth it.
What is this PIE everyone keeps referencing?
Pocket Internet Explorer.
Works perfect on my unlocked 8525/running WinMo 6 Black Satin Normal(Props to JasJamming). Rumor has it that some of the team from SPB worked on this app.
Works on my 8525.
Nice collection of information. I especially like the section on what's happening in my city since I almost never read the paper.
It runs a little slowly, however and actually even seems to hang a bit when it logs into my Yahoo! account.
It's been out for the Blackjack for a while now. The push email doesn't seem to do anything. If I'm at the home screen, it doesn't notify of new mail.
Works on my Sprint Mogul, except it checks the wrong mail account in Yahoo :(

Which version did you download for your Mogul? I downloaded via the Mogul's browser using "US.get.go.yahoo.com" and selected WM6 version.

Here is the link to the PPC version that works on an 8125 running WM6.
how do u get WM6 to run on the Cingular 8125?
www.xda-developers.com is the place for Windows Mobile upgrades, go to the Wizard forum
It works on my Treo 750 and is much faster than it was on my Blackberry Pearl.
I have a Cingular 8125 unlocked and I'm using it on T-mobile SIM card. Problem with it is that the WiFi doesn't work.
I wish the Yahoo Go! was available for the iPhone
I installed it on my 8125. It still works slow. Is it working OK for everyone else? Is it my phone or this app? Other apps work perfectly fine. And, I did install it on phone memory.
semi-review, semi-help for app locating:
2.0 is available & ready for WM5/ 700wx; I have had it running for about 10 days. I MUCH prefer the "un-fancy" version... 1.0 was small, light, FAST, and gave me a choice of which apps I want to use.
This 'beefed-up' version is bloaty-feeling... you have no choice but to have sports and financials and entertainment and ..... and..... and because the interface is scroll-style (rather than flat-link-based), you've got to go thru all these other things to get to the good like driving directions, mail, weather, & news.
It is pretty, though. (If you like purple.) I honestly wouldn't care about the memory/ scroll-requirements if it *loaded faster*. When I need driving directions, I usually need them *right now*, not after I've missed my turn/ exit/ street (all that c*** Yahoo tacks onto the interface takes forever; the original was almost instantaneous).
I signed up for the "tell me when it's ready" alert, & sure enough, I got a text msg w/ a weblink to download the app when it was ready. Try going to the Go website & clicking on the WX anyway; I've heard that works.
