2.0 is available & ready for WM5/ 700wx; I have had it running for about 10 days. I MUCH prefer the "un-fancy" version... 1.0 was small, light, FAST, and gave me a choice of which apps I want to use.

This 'beefed-up' version is bloaty-feeling... you have no choice but to have sports and financials and entertainment and ..... and..... and because the interface is scroll-style (rather than flat-link-based), you've got to go thru all these other things to get to the good like driving directions, mail, weather, & news.

It is pretty, though. (If you like purple.) I honestly wouldn't care about the memory/ scroll-requirements if it *loaded faster*. When I need driving directions, I usually need them *right now*, not after I've missed my turn/ exit/ street (all that c*** Yahoo tacks onto the interface takes forever; the original was almost instantaneous).

I signed up for the "tell me when it's ready" alert, & sure enough, I got a text msg w/ a weblink to download the app when it was ready. Try going to the Go website & clicking on the WX anyway; I've heard that works.]]>Aug 12th 2007 8:37PM
