AT&T Treo 750 gets Windows Mobile 6 treatment on the sly
Finally the Treo 750 gets its moment in the unofficial spotlight, viva la Windows Mobile 6 updates! Though, AT&T hasn't released it officially -- like the 8525 and the BlackJack -- if you like living life on the edge, all you need to do is head to xda-developers and scare up the ROM for a little do-it-yourself flashing action. As with other updates not yet officially sanctioned by AT&T, if something goes awry, you'll be out of luck for support. By our reckoning, the "Treo" of AT&T devices that were set to get updates now have dodgy versions floating around. So come now AT&T, where's the official love?

Although the Treo will most likely get wm6. That looks like a bad photoshop job
hey buddy maybe you should do a little research, the ROM is real. Skepticism is great, but ignorance it not.
Will, if you'd bother looking at the referenced link, you would find that this is indeed the real deal and working.
I'm sorry but you have no idea what you are talking about. I currently have WM6 on my 750 and it kills Palm's WM5 version. It's real...
Hey I know it's real... have a look at the photo again and the silk screened lettering... jeez
It's just this photo is shopped or a phone without any marks has the lettering messed up and miss aligned.
First, to me, the only part of Will's original comment that could be read as skeptical was his saying "the Treo will most likely get wm6:" hey, maybe he's not "up on his Engadget" and didn't read the article that confirmed the BlackJack, 8525, and Treo 750 would get this update. No big deal.

Now, Will, in his original post, was just saying that the photo *appeared* to be photoshopped, he was *not* saying that WM6 for the Treo 750 did not exist. People are blasting him for his "ignorance" and because he wouldn't "bother looking". It appears as those were the words of hypocrites.

Dudes, seriously, not really a big deal.
I can't stress how much better WM6 is than 5. It is a HUGE difference and a lot more intuitive.
I love it.
I've got WM6 on my new Sprint Mogul. My main problem is the tiny little X, or OK button in the upper right part of the screen. It is very difficult to press without the stylus. And you spend a lot of time pressing these buttons.
If they could make this easier to tarket I would be quite happy.
Dude. Are you serious? They have an hardware OK button the phone to do that. Put your stylus away.

My Treo running WM6. The screenprint appears that way in natural light. So Will it is real.
This is a HUGE improvement for my Treo 750. All together took less than 20 minutes to have WM6 running smoothly. Some people are complaining that it's missing the Windows Live feature, but it's not. Once you go into "email" and add your Windows email account, it will give you all the options, including the one to display the "Windows Live" icons on the today screen. The only issue that I've encountered so far is that the Cellular Video app does not work. If anyone can get it to work, please post.
Yes, it magically and physically changes the resolution of the screen and upgrades it from 240x240 to 320x320.
Also, I happen to have some oceanfront property in Nevada to sell you ;)
Can anyone confirm: does it up the Treo screen resolution to 320x320, or are we stuck at the old standard?
about tine
Question: does WM6 sync properly with exchange server 2003? I heard rumors that it doesn't and i need that for my work.
Sorry if this is considered common knowledge or has been answered previously, but does anyone know when and how AT&T will release the WM6 upgrade?
yes Josh my Treo 750 WM6 syncs perfectlt with my office's 2K3 Exchg server
