What is the LG VX10000?
We're going to go ahead and venture that this VX10000 (yes, as in ten thousand) from LG that just hit the FCC is bound for Verizon, thanks to the "VX" prefix. That's about all we can gather, though. Pay no mind to the shape of the phone in the diagram here -- it's a generic picture that LG uses to identify the ID label for every single one of its phones that it submits with the FCC. If anything, we suppose it could be a successor to the VX9900; LG ran plumb out of numbers and was forced into five-digit territory. Thoughts?

I really hope so! I have a 9900 and a great phone thus far! The model number may be hard to roll off the tongue (I have a 10000 doesn't have many cool points as saying I have an enV)...still if LG can make the name appealing as the enV, they will have another winner on their hands (of course, the best technology, a better design, and getting rid of the evil VZW display theme. Ack!)
Dear Verizon,
If you could just release this in the next 23 days that'd be great. I just upgraded but instantly regret not getting something cooler. Please please please.
Sincerely,
Brian
The VX8800 was on the FCC site yesterday.
Now if they can improve the 8800 with a gold metallic look or a shiny black metal that would be uber sweet.
the 10k has the same enV for factor but adds touch-screen functionality to the front face where the front face is a much larger screen than the previous models.
What is your source?
They should've named it VX10K
They could have used 9950 for New Env models. I think the only thing the Envish phones could improve on is add TV, but I doubt a new model will be coming soon as they are still pushing colors for EnV. Green EnV coming soon.....
I'm suprised they didn't go the Radeon route, and call it the VXX100.
The phone could be called the "VXX" for short, or even just the "X." (It's two phones after the "V," right?)
So it sounds like this is the LG PRADA Verizon version we've been waiting for????????????????????????????
Considering the confidentially request is coming from Korea, I'm guessing it is more than just a VX9900 update. I certainly have no insider information, but I would guess (and really hope) that this is the CDMA variant of the KU990. Verizon hinted at an iPhone competitor, and this would certainly be it.
Is absolutely NO ONE else praying to god this is the LG Shine slider for America? I heard from a clerk that it was planned for release here sometime this year...
i'm really hoping this is some sort of prada-variant, like the ks20 or the ku990... may this is the "iPhone killer" we've all been waiting for
It's the GPhone!! ;)
Yeah, I can't help but think this is the iPhone killer. It completely breaks the LG naming mold, meaning this is a consequential device. I am eager to see what you're pushin' LG and VZW, let it be worth it, please.
Maybe some of the iPhone defectors will jump ship again--it's not like they don't have a history of it (yeah, low blow, I know LOL JK though).
More pics of the vx10000 have been leaked, this time it's the test units:
