Now that we've thrown 'em off the trail, use the form below to get in touch with the people at Engadget. Please fill in all of the required fields because they're required.
3 hour talk time? Pathetic. All other GSM razrs were at least 6.
the V9 has the worst battery life of all the RAZR2 models. the V8 has the best with the normal 300 minutes (5 hour) talk time.
though they really messed up with that $750 retail because according to MOTO the V9 will retail for $479 just like the V9m and V8.
The V9 uses the 3G network, which consumes more power than standard EDGE.
Yes, I know, but my V3xx has 3G and has more than 3 hour battery life.
The talk time is probably so low because it's on 3G. 3G is known for sucking the battery life out of a phone. It doesn't make the battery any worse, just the phone more power hungry.
Also, the $750 price is probably just a typo. If the person entering the information used the number pad on keyboard, s/he probably hit the "7" instead of the "4"; Seven is right above 4, I do it all the time...never on something so crucial though.
Like Sprint, which allows one to "access the nations" blah blah blah, AT&T need to higher someone to edit there stuff.
(BTW, the typos/grammatical errors here were for a rhetorical effect; I can see people blasting me, now.)

Dont be stupid people. Its the business website. Most business websites in most industries sell to business customers through contracts based off of List Price.
The $750 shown isnt the Retail Price, its the List Price. every company gets different discounts off List based on whatever contract they signed (not subscriber contracts like with retail, but foundation account contracts).
Whatever company's Premier site that was taken from obviously gets 60% off List Price on their phones. Premier prices are not the same for all businesses. Its based on their foundation account discount. This also means that its possible retail price will be different than the $299 pictured above.
I agree with Robbie...being an AT&T Premier client I know that they pull this crap all the time...all you have to do is look at the price for almost any of the PDAs they have on the Premier site ($1000+)...apparently ATT must think that business consumers are even dumber than regular consumers (you should see the terms and conditions with buying an iPhone on the Premier site - if you buy an iPhone you have to give up all corporate discounts you were once getting on your service - 28% a month for me...which is just another reason why I, a business consumer, would never buy an iPhone).

Uhh... anyone notice how its coming to $299 no matter where you look? Even with a different company discount, the listed price is $299. I just looked at a COR price list for ATT and it looks like it'll be $449 no commitment, and (surprise) $299 with a 2-yr agreement.

dave, thank you for pretty much confirming my info. i guess your company is set for 50% off of their devices, but then the web auto added the extra discount to make it $299.
so that would mean whoever sent in the screen shot used for this article has no foundation account discount on handsets!!
kashif, it does look like $299 is the magic price. hopefully retail at least gets a $50 mail in rebate offer.

I got mines from Verizon for only $149 (online discount $100 + I used my upgrade another $100 off) , I order it Saturday got here Wed. FAST! I love the phone!
well to tell you all, i loved the phone until i figured out that all the videos i want to send, i cant. they get received but they are just a blank screen and noise. i am sick of it. i went back and got it replaced with the same phone, just newer. and the same damn thing has happened. plus there is no damn insurance on it yet. bull. i am getting rid of this phone.
