I guess that's my whole point... this is designed and purpose built for the person who does not want to carry a second "device" in the form of an additional headset. The selling point is meant to be it's integration... if you want A2DP and a set of stereo earpieces then, this is not the device for you.
I think sometimes people forget that it's not always about having every possible technology in every device, it's about creating diversity in their product line so they can satisfy as many consumers as possible. If you want A2DP then chances are you are not going to want to listen to your music on the, most-likely, crappy sounding attached headset that came with your phone. You will buy another set of more appropriate headphones at which point this phone with it's included headset is no longer the best choice... get a music/media based phone.
I love and respect this blog, and I know the writers are very tech savvy, including Sean. But everyone can miss the point sometimes.
