Sidekick LX "Shuriken" in the wild?

Is it just us, or does this thing look... well, not that great? This here is allegedly a shot of the upcoming Shuriken / Sidekick LX / Sidekick 4 -- Sharp's next-gen Hiptop alongside Motorola's Sidekick Slide -- doing its thing in the wild. Sadly, the case looks like cheap black plastic, the keyboard looks bizzare, and the chrome speaker looks out of place, though we suppose those bits could all be little pieces of preproduction indiscretion. Fortunately, the rumored 3-inch widescreen display should go a long way toward making up for any lingering ugliness when it launches in the not-too-distant future, but the Slide's looking a little better now, ain't it?

This color is HOT! Engadget!....Fire your editor's. Clearly the Slide DOES NOT look better than the LX. Whose judging these, Bush? The screen size is amazing & how the heck is the keypad bizzare? The buttons aren't any different from any other sidekick's design. They're perfect. This device has only 3 flaws & they're completely software wise.
1.) No 3g or WIFI
2.) 1.3 MP camera

Well,it's not THAT great,not to out-do SK3,but I gotta give some praise to the screen...Danger/Sharp is going in the right direction with the black...the keyboard's not too bizarre,really does look like SK3's keyboard pt. deux...PLEASE GIVE US 2 MEGAPIXEL AND MAYBE SOME 3G,IF IT'S NOT TOO MUCH TO ASK...

Bummer.

I must say after lusting after the Shuriken / Sidekick LX / Sidekick 4 pics that we've seen on the net before, this is a bit of a disapointment.

For some reason I thought it was going to be the rubberized, flat, blue look that the wing has, not a glossy, cheap looking, blue/black/purple. I've been waiting for this for a while though so I'll hold out judgement 'til we get some solid shots of it.

erm y is this a secret if it is a 1.3mp camera why dont they say i can see them pretending its better than it is then you get it n it magicaly morfs into a sidekick 3 :| which is just crap
we want
2mp camera , Video playback atleast, msn in the uk, unlimted data plan like the iphone come on guys imagin how many you will sell if it smaks the market wit top specs nt stop in shops bout 3 month afta it has been released like the sd 3 did in the uk i barley seen it n it was off the shelves
if you use the 1.3mp camera ppl will look elsewhere

Is someone out there working on a way to use the Sidekick in a real world curriculum? Too much complaining about cell phones in the classroom and I do hope someone incorporates the Sidekick, even an earlier model into a classroom.
