"Satisfied" iPhone 3GS owners
Of 200 iPhone 3GS users polled in August, 2009, 99 percent termed themselves "satisfied," with 82 percent saying they were "very satisfied."

Samsung uses extensive quality testing procedures to ensure quality of all cellphones, and sure, it would break if you were to step on it or drop it from a high distance, but the swivel wouldn't make it any more susceptible to breaking.
There is actually another cellphone out with a dual hinge similar feature, the U740 that is very durable while being a horizontal and vertical clam.
