Some dudes offer iPhone unlocking service outside AT&T store
It didn't take El Jobso and the Cupertino team long to hit the millionth iPhone mark, and with bigger hopes for the holiday season, Apple will need to keep up its game. Two friends who decided to aid Apple's effort, have taken matters into their own hands and are offering free iPhone unlocking service outside their local AT&T store. With no word on how long AT&T will allow these shenanigans to continue, leave us a comment if you know these two!

HEY!!! I know where this picture was taken. I live right near here. That makes me laugh.
In fact, it's Bridgeport Village in Tualatin, Oregon. I know so by that stop sign. The "O" is obnoxiously large and the at&t sign is just as well overly large for that wall.
Heh, I live in Portland, Oregon and was thinking of doing the same thing here.
A nice statistic would be, how many iphones sold, versus how many are on the att network.
yeah, i am very curious to how many iphones owners vs actual at&t new subscribers
whatever happend to craigslist? that is so tacky
Tacky?
i would flog them!
That picture is awesome! Haha...
ah ha...I was thinking that this store looks familiar to me too. You are right Farwest..it is Bridgeport AT&T Store in Tualatin. The store where I bought my iPhone. Wished these guys were present there like a week ago...I wouldn't have to struggle this much going through the forums to get my phone unlocked.
Yes that is in extremly poor form.
But tacky is the norm nowadays.
i love it!
and its not tacky fanboys!
These guys got some balls...big, big balls to pull off that shot!
I wouldn't call that tacky...but they've definitely got a couple of brass pairs setting up right outside the AT&T store!
that is SOOOO FUNNY!!! that sh!t makes me LAUGH SO HARD!! thanks engadget, i really needed that today. keep 'em coming!
I was being PURELY sarcastic. lol I didn't think you'd actually attempt to articulate what you meant by tacky. :)
Relax, not everything has to have a flair of Martha Stewart attached to it.
i think its awesome. ballsy. and questionably not illegal.
they are on a city sidewalk.
and the fcc has said you cant be penalized for unlocking a phone.
hell... you paid for it... you own it.
and if these guys want to instantly be your "friends" and help you unlock it, that's between you guys
These guys have spirit! Go unlocking iphones!
After some minor PS enhancement, I recognize one of those guys. He's a son of Verizon's CEO, aka S.O.V.
