Is this Orange's French iPhone?
As we quickly approach Apple's "mums the word" event in London, the reports have been flying in concerning all sorts of carriers rocking the iPhone in the very near future. Now, we've got France's Orange joining O2's supposed UK deal and Germany's Vodafone / T-Mobile juggle. The rumors are saying we can expect a €300 French iPhone (sans 3G and unlimited data plans) on November 29th, with an announcement during the Apple Expo in Paris on September 24th, though the picture we're seeing clearly shows the blurry-as-all-get-out phone touting the T-Mobile carrier name. They say it's roaming, we say; don't sign anything yet.

Don't get too caught up on these things. It's probably just that somebody hex editted some ASCII strings. This isn't something made for France, I can say that at least, because France doesn't use AM/PM. They use a 24hr clock.
Who's to say the the person holding the phone doesn't prefer am/pm as opposed to 24h? It could possibly be for France, the time being in a different format doesn't really say that it's not for France.
Lets face facts though, are europeans really going to buy this if it isn't 3g? That would be a huge downgrade as I understand it in the european mobile communities.
Doesn't it say T-Mobile in the upper left hand corner?
It does, well spotted... Unfortunately it seems it will be a different carrier in each country, so this could be German phone in French. In fact, couldn't this even be an American unlocked iPhone with a T-Mobile sim card in French???
To emphasize it's probably a hex edit, it says "Configuration" which is not French
exactly, most the phone isn't it proper french.
P.S. Configuration is Configurature.
Patiently awaiting the 3G IPhone...
Would be nice if it was 16 - 32 GB storage, 3G and GPS enabled google maps but i will take just 3G
It is definitely not!
If you check the rest of the pictures you see apps that don't belong on an original iPhone (like installer.app) but help you to get a language kit on it (like the french one).
maybe possible ... For now i'm leaving in China, and there's one market where they sell iPhone working with Chinese SIM cards
