Didn't Sony try something similar with the PSP (although only on WiFi signals) and fail? I see this only working in areas with both a high density of cell antennas and WiFi networks, but outside of that it'd be useless. Is there no external Bluetooth GPS receiver available yet that works with the iPhone?
