Nokia N95-3 available within 7 to 10 days?

Current intelligence (that is, us calling the store) indicates that Nokia's flagship locations expect to receive the North American version of the N95 -- the N95-3, glorious 850 / 1900MHz bands of HSDPA and all -- within the next week to week and a half. That would put it inside Nokia's intended September launch window, albeit by the slimmest of margins. If nothing else, we figure it's a good sign that Nokia's US website has finally acknowledged the phone's existence; the next step, of course, is to get a few in our hands for $699 a pop.
Any idea what it is going to be on contract? I'm still extremely torn between this phone and an Iphone, but I dont need that much phone in the N95 but I want it because of the fact I would finally have one. I have a e62 right now and its more phone than I need on a daily basis, and the Iphone I want due to not owning an ipod, gahhhhhh the two phones I want and they are out near the same price, but 700$ out of contract is tough.
Don't hold your breath on getting Nokia phones from operators. Nokia will sell their US phones from their flagship stores since they don't have good relations with US operators. In europe these phones cost some +30% more than in states.
Nokia has fat margin on these phones, costs some 300 bucks per phone, selling them out with more than double ;)
$700 for an unlocked, uncrippled phone. Yeah, it's a bit steep in price, but it's completely unsubsidized.
See but the "uncrippled" part of it doesnt even really bother me, AT&T Seems to allow you to do bluetooth data transfer and GPS so that isnt messed up, can load your own apps... no fault there, not really losing by subsidizing the N95. I didnt want to pay the 800$ before to import it because it was too much for a phone, now its here in the states and its 700$ with 3G that isnt available in all areas anyway, especially not Wilm NC to my knowledge.
So as a customer I am losing out on this unles I bust my ass to work OT here at VZW and the way our customers are lately? I'd rather just go pickup halo 3 tonight and forget about these insane people.
Is this suppose to be the 3rd revision of the Nokia N95 for North American release? where is the black one!?
The black N95 is the one with the 8gb hard drive and, as of now, will not be available with 850/1900.

I spoke to my local AT&T store and the rep told me that the phone was on their list for October. I didn't call other stores to confirm. Has anyone else heard news from AT&T? Seems like their would have been a formal announcement if they were picking up the phone as it would certainly take away some customers from the iPhone.
So according to you, the N95 on AT&T will steal customers from the iPhone... on AT&T.
If it is going to be released in "a week to a week and a half" it is NOT going to make the September timeframe. I've heard that Thursday the 27th is the drop date through a launch event in L.A. and rollout on the Nokia USA website. I guess we'll see now, won't we?...
I'm sad they've totally dumped my phone from their website. Like it never happened. Just like my high school girlfriend cutting up all our photographs. Wait. I've said too much.

Bah i'm still not totaly sure what to get. N95 8 GB or N95us.... That N95 8GB looks just so more sexy with that bigger screen and totaly black shell, but of course no 3G.

Nokia is a Finnish company so the Fins get all the cool stuff first....gotta wait for to spread to England (aka Western Europe) then finally take the long journey over the pond

Also available at NYC Nokia Flagship store. Brown color. You can't buy over the phone is what I've heard. You have to walk in.
