Nokia N95-3 with North American 3G now available

With nary an AT&T agreement in sight, Nokia has gone out on a limb to launch the unlocked N95-3 today, bringing the all the original N95's goodness back for a second round with a few key changes. Most notably, of course, is the presence of HSDPA on the 850 and 1900MHz bands, but other modifications include a higher-capacity battery, recessed camera lens (sans protective shutter this time around), twice the RAM, and availability in black and "dark sand" (for the rear only -- the front's always silver). Grab it starting today in Nokia's flagship stores in New York and Chicago for $699.

thats what higher end phones cost in reality.

if you've been fooled into thinking that you're really paying just 100$ for phones like this then you're living in the subsidized fantasyland.

Is there anyway to purchase this phone now outside of going to store? I called the New York store and they said that resellers may have it. "Sams Stores" offers "New" N-95 but tough to tell if this is the one. Any suggestions? How do we tell the new one versus the old?

Looks like it's still listed as "Coming Soon" on the website, but it shouldn't be too long till you can order it from there.

Got mine at nokia's chicago store yesterday. I'm now trying to sell my t-mobile contract and port my number to at&t. The manager at the store showed me a working n95-3 model with the installed veta version of slingplayer and we were viewing the simpsons that was being transmitted from his home's cable box to the n95-3 via at&t's 3g network.That was awesome!!!!

my god do I have issues! my screen just shut down! I turned it on and my top keypad lights up stays lit and beeps and thats it screen has a very dim glow. (cant see it and phone dont work) CAn anyone help? or does anyone know what happened to my phone? pls email me. I really need help
