Well, knowing Verizon, this uninspiring device can be expected in mid-2008.

yeah really...I don't understand what Verizon's problem is. What the hell is the hold up? Maybe if they'd just let the manufacturer keep their (superior) interface the phones would come out faster.
In case Verizon didn't get that: Stop putting AOL-esque kiddie user interfaces on your phones. And stop crippling the abilities!
The link in the text says U740 instead of U470.
The big, big question on the form factor is this: How long is the phone when it's open? Without anything to compare it to, it's hard to tell. I'm guessing it looks about the size of the chocolate; so open, it'll be huge. If that's the case, I would never buy this phone.

Another thing that isn't mentioned is the fact that the phone comes in 3 colors:
Blue
Red
Teal
And due to it being in Infomanager you can expect it relatively soon.
i like this phone, the swivel factor is impressive, and hopefuly its not that long when open. i dont like that bump behind/on top of the front screen, it makes it look accured but the swivel thing out rules that, and hopeful this phone will be able to use our music not vcast.

This form factor is completely stupid! Who would want a phone that would be a 6 inches long when its open?!?!
Plus, how big is the display? From the pictures that i've seen, it looks tiny!

You're right. Motorola is trying to sell that razr-thing, which is like 6" when opened, too! Nobody buys those things...

Also, try reading the story. The last line was "How's everyone feeling about the form factor?" That's open invitation from the author to start a conversation about the phone.
