Shortly after Ed Colligan himself talked up Palm's latest Palm OS-based handset, we had the opportunity to check it out. It's small, it's bright red (or black, if that's your thing), and it's got a speedy EV-DO connection -- but is it the best Palm OS device ever? Check it out!
I actually like the palm os system. I was just wondering if the keyboard is as bad as everyone makes it out to be? Could anyone just tell how manageable the keyboard is to use? Because the phone seems to be the same size as the Blackberry Curve but without the BB data plan.
I beg to differ, on multiple fronts. The world could certainly use another smartphone, if it;s better than WM. WM is a horrible operating system. I've had just about every kind of smartphone OS there is, and Palm has always been the fastest and most reliable overall. I'm shamed to say I am stuck with a Samsung BlackJack at the moment - only because of form factor (with full keyboard), I assure you. WM is a terrible OS, with memory leaks, a crappy browser, S L O W, and overbloated. Before this thing I had Treos - 600 and 650 - but moved on because they were a little on the big side. This will be a nice compromise for Palm, somethign they have been needing for years: a small form-factor Smartphone to replace the aging brick form-factor treo line.
“It's rare if a month flies by without some random university or DIYer proclaiming that the next major jump in battery technology is just over the horizon.”

after all the hate this phone got is not sooo bad as it was expected if I didn't have the titan i'd cop it..
I didn't like it, I played with it this afternoon at the Digital Life Expo. Its small and thin but the world doesn't need another smartphone.
The best thing Palm ever did was move to WM.

Did you see if it has Integrated Wi-fi or not?

Is the keyboard as bad as everyone say it is? Because the treo 500v seems just fine.
