HTC looses Windows Mobile 6 upgrade for P3300
We've (slowly, but surely) seen a myriad HTC phones receive Windows Mobile 6 upgrades, and now it's finally Artemis' (P3300) turn. Judging by a snapshot taken from the HTC eClub, the download is indeed ready and waiting for P3300 users, which can't be acquired until you register for free at the site. We'll spare you the details of how WinMo 6 will simply revolutionize your life and fulfill your dreams, so just head on over and get your update, cool?

"We've seen a myriad of HTC phones. . ." or "We've seen myriad HTC phones. . ." Not a hybrid of them both!
I upgraded my P3300 last night. It went pretty smoothly, although it took a minute for me to sync up my contacts and such afterwards because I forgot to switch the USB mode on the phone. Overall it seems like a decent upgrade, with a few tweaks to the OS, but I'm still waiting for Photon! Unfortunately, the P3300's slower processor may not handle that upgrade (if HTC even offers a ROM to existing owners), but I'll be ready to grab a Tilt or some other lust-worthy HTC product at that point.
This site has a step by step guide to update the HTC P3300 with the official WM6 ROM.
It also has some tweaks such as disabling the application lock and enabling the VoIP features.
