Sprint announces BlackBerry Pearl 8130 for November release
Following a similar announcement from Verizon a couple weeks back, Sprint has announced that it'll also be carrying RIM's lastest and greatest CDMA Pearl, the 8130. High on the touted feature list is the integrated GPS, which Sprint is teaming with its Sprint Navigation service to provide real-time routing and traffic alerts -- but we certainly can't forget the 3.5mm headphone jack, stereo Bluetooth support, 2 megapixel camera, and externally accessible microSDHC slot, all of which make the device a worthy successor for anyone that got a kick out of the original GSM Pearl. Look for it in stores next month, with pricing to be announced closer to launch.

The 3.5mm jack alone makes it better than any other smartphone that Sprint offers. The only fly in the ointment is the $40 BES plan you need to get with any Blackberry.
If Sprint intros a lower-priced, Pearl-specific BIS plan to go with the consumer-friendly Pearl, these will fly off the shelves.
good thing there is going to be a $30 BIS plan launching along side the pearl it make it alot easier to swallow.
As long as they require a BB data plan I can't justify buying one. I don't care about their push email... I just want an Internet connection!
I'm pumped for the Pearl release on Verizon, finally a phone worth sticking around for. Although I really hope VZW gets it in that cool dark color. I don't think I've seen shots of the VZW version in anything but that tacky looking silver, and here's Sprint's version looking all sleek and sexy.
Oh Verizon, can't you get anything right??
Sweet. I can't wait!
Has anyone heard anything about a new $30 blackberry plan as BIS instead of the $40 BES that Sprint currently has?

Verizon will get the Silver. If you havent noticed, that's what they always get, with Black or something along those lines fallowing shortly after (Moto Q for example)
is this bb going to be world edition like the bb8830?
Not from what I've heard.
i know this is a little late but there is a 30$ bis plan now available that includes unlimited web/email, unlimited text, AND, sprint nav. best deal they've offered yet. available now even for all bb models!
I tried to get the new $30 Blackberry Power Vision Plan from Sprint and no one can seem to add it to my plan. When I called the Sprint customer service number they said the plan doesn't exist, even though I read them the terms of the plan right from the brochure I got in the Sprint Store! The sprint store reps couldn't add it either. Any recommendations? How can sprint advertise the plan and not know how or be able to set it up?
