I don't know about everyone else but I have had several phones unlocked by T-Mobile. As far as I know you can get a phone unlocked by T-Mobile every three months. It has taken them only 24 hours for each unlock request to be completed. I am all for pro-rated ETF though!!
You are correct. I have had no problem unlocking my T-Mobile phones. They were happy to do it when they learned I was going out of the US. For some reason they didn't want me running up my bill in another country.
