Sometimes I don't understand why Sony got into an agreement with Ericsson to begin with? Why do they even make Walkman or CyberShot branded phones?

I mean, what's the point of having Sony Ericsson, if you're not going to do anything with it. I was a CONNECT user and I wanted my CONNECT purchases to be played back on every Sony product I own, including Sony Ericsson phones. There's no reason why they couldn't have added MagicGate/ATRAC3 support to Sony Ericsson phones, while keeping it entirely open to the same formats it has now!

I'm still trying to figure out what this means, if true:

"He (Miles Flint) also revealed that there would be an announcement concerning a tie up between Sony Ericsson and the Sony Connect online music store on November 6th."
