Two-faced Pantech Duo officially launches on AT&T
No surprises here, but the Pantech Duo (split-personality and all) has officially arrived in late October, just as we were led to believe. Ready to rock texters' worlds on AT&T, the Duo does indeed boast Windows Mobile 6, a QWERTY keypad and a numeric 'board for your convenience, UMTS / HSDPA compatibility and a 320 x 240 resolution display. The unit measures in at 4.02- x 1.97- x .83-inches, and if you dig what you're seeing, it can be yours today for $199.99 if you're cool with signing a two-year agreement.

this or the tilt, any suggestions?
I wish it was more sleek looking like the ocean. :-(
you gotta admit though, it's still a pretty hot phone. I'm thinking about switching in my blackberry for a phone soon. I don't want touch screen so the Vu and Vu2 are out the window, but this phone is looking mighty fine
Just got it on Saturday and so far I enjoy it. Sync went real well and very easy. I had the 8125 prior and I loved it except for the touch screen. The Duo seems to be faster with texting and MMS messages. Has a very sleek and attractive design. So far its been a good phone.
One thing-dont expect this to perform like a PDA not all functions are the same If you are used to a PDA phone stay with it. I just had no need for one any more and this made much more sense for me.
Love the features, I also had 8125 before. Touch screen got old and I needed the lastest and greatest. I wanted to be sure it had all the features I wanted so I went to pantech's web site and read thru the manuals. This thing is loaded, the seller for me was the state of the art voice recognition. Tell it to "play some music" and it asks what would you like to here. etc. Only negative for me is a common feature amongst most cell phones is mp3 ringtones(my mp3's I put on the phone). In the pantech manuals its says sure no problem, but in the att/mobile 6 software on the phone "NO LOVE"!!!!!!! Its semi trivial, but to get ringtones you have to pay $2.49 a ringtone on these over priced ringtone sites. I am determined to find a work-around!! Any duo owners have suggestions??
