Microsoft adds speech recognition to Live Search
If your hands and fingers are beat up from too much typing on your Windows Mobile piece, we may (or may not) have just the solution for you. Available now, Microsoft has released an updated version of Live Search for both Windows Mobile 5 and 6 that incorporates speech recognition for business listings and locations. Other gee-whiz features include searches for gas prices, hours of operations for business, and even being able to connect to your GPS for location-based stuff.

This is the same version (2.5.2840.19676) that was released on 10/16.
Yeah guys, this version has been out for weeks. It does work really well! The speech recognition is pretty good and the gas prices tool is great! I just wish it would use my cell phone service to triangulate me!
Windows Live Search already had GPS capability.
It's a cool program, but it causes my Tilt to get stuck in standby mode (only when it's left to go into standby on it's own). Turning off voice recognition helps, but I ended up uninstalling it, unfortunately. Hopefully there'll eventually be a fix.
I got the Rogers ROM for my Dash (which doesn't have VoiceCommand but the LiveSearch program has the VoiceCommand built-in. Works great when I say Zip codes but addresses not so well.
New news? No, old news. For shame.
