"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
I agree that there isn't much use for a 3G radio on a dumbphone with a 176 x 220 screen... unless it can be tethered. Here's a trend I'd really like to see develop: small handset, high-speed radio, Bluetooth tethering capabilities (Personal Area Network, ideally).
I don't travel much and I'm in front of a computer for most of my day. Not that there's anything wrong with any of the smart phones out there but it's not something I need. I just want a tiny phone in my pocket for calls and text messaging and the ability to use it as a modem when I do travel.
