Nokia N95 sees major new firmware release
US N95 users need not apply -- yet, anyway -- but owners of the original should high-tail it over to Nokia's software update site and get crackin' on this here download. Firmware version 20.0.015 brings a wealth of new features to a phone that still rests near the top of Nokia's lineup, including significantly improved memory management (especially important to the N95-1 which rocks half the RAM of the N95-3), a couple N-Gage demos with a link to download the full app when it's available, search integration from the home screen, improved camera performance, and the list goes on; in other words, this is an upgrade you definitely want. Any love for us poor, underappreciated Americans, Nokia?[Via All About Symbian]

T_T waits impatiently for the n95-3 update
This is EXACTLY the problem with having a fucking million versions of the same product, all crippled to various degrees.
They do make an N95-NAM you can get it from Mobile Planet.
No more multimedia menu opening when you slide open the media keys. Hooray!
Camera still loads slow though.
Go nokia!
Hissing problem when listening to music is still NOT fixed...
N95-3 update is probably just a matter of days.
i own an N95 classic, but WHY is it that NSU is showing no other update than V.12.0.013?!?! is there something i am unnaware of?? PLEASE HELP!! i want the new update too!!
looks like the US versions are still on 12
Well I've installed the updater and it says my phones firmware is upto date despite it being version 12. What gives :|
if u have a n95-1 and it says ur firmware is still up to date with v12, it means u have a network branded firmware. you just have to wait or debrand your phone and void your warranty.
This firmware wiped my phone memory, including all contacts and text messages. Not happy!
It warns you that it will wipe the content on the phone and advises you to backup before continuing
I did the backup. Installed the new upgrade. Restored the backup.
Now I find that my predictive texts have to be re-entered. It has lost the details of my flikr account for photos.
But MOST annoying it appears that i have to pay AGAIN to get the navigation option switched on. I'm seriously pissed off. In effect this upgrade has cost me €69.99 and Nokia can kiss my ass if they think I'll be getting one of their phones again.
