Looks like being partners in a company called "
SpectrumCo" just isn't what it seems -- although Comcast and Time Warner Communications have already
dropped out of the 700MHz auction running, upstart Cox Communications has announced that it's ready to bid at least the $4.6B minimum in January's auction to try and get a little piece of the pie. Cox says it's trying to bundle all its products together, and that the airwaves will allow for greater mobility and convergence -- or, put more simply, "We like having options." Of course, it's got to muscle out all the other players first, but at this point it certainly seems like
anything could happen.
Google should win Block C. They could do more with that huge wireless network than anyone else! That would also take them into a new market, which, knowing Google, would be developed very well :)
Uugghhh, Cox sucks. I can't tell you how many times my cable internet I have with them goes out a week.
Plus I doubt they have the deep pockets that AT&T, Google, and Verizon.
funny, ive had cox for three years and its only gone out on me once, for about an hour.
I guess it depends where you live. I have heard both good and bad, but here in the Phoenix burbs it's bad.
I've had Cox cable, phone and internet for 8+ years (more on cable/phone than internet) and have never had any problems. Their internet service is incredible.
Hahahah you said cocks.
"upstart Cox Communications"
How is Cox an upstart? They've been around for quite a while.
I used to work for Cox, now i work at dick's sporting good. Just thought I'd mention that. and I'm a lesbian. OK none of that was true.
before i moved , where i lived in kanasas , i had cox internet and cable , the cable was fine , but the internet crashed all the time , which was not a good thing since i was taking online class , o well.
Yeah, Cox has been around for at least 10-12 years now .. I definitely wouldn't consider them an upstart.
I have Cox and my service is great, but they can't compete against Google
