For as long as this thing has been delayed, and the fact that it's really no different than the 700p, that price is a bit ridiculous. It might be worth it though, if their extensive testing has actually fixed the bugs present on the Sprint version, and on the 700p (even after all the updates). But I really don't believe Palm is capable of fixing the Garnet OS. They've had like 5 years to do it, and look at what a mess it is.
I wanted this phone so bad six months ago I'd have paid anything, but eventually I gave up waiting for Verizon to release a new smartphone -- ANY smartphone -- and left for AT&T. So since it no longer matters personally to me, I hope Verizon has punished Palm for their incompetence. I have no love for Verizon, but they've earned my respect a little for telling Palm, "Go to your room and don't come out until you make a phone that works!" I will be VERY interested to hear if it actually does work, or if all that wait was for nothing.
