Screw the glitz and glamor of a
posh flagship location in Manhattan. How about a store in the heart of Toronto, RIM's backyard? Nah, still too flashy. Waterloo's finest are seriously taking it to the trenches for their first officially licensed BlackBerry store, an unassuming, freestanding white building in Farmington Hills, Michigan of all places. The store isn't actually run by RIM -- they've left the grunt work to established retailer Wireless Giant -- but it does seem to be a pretty comprehensive BlackBerry haven with offerings available from all four national US carriers under one convenient roof. That being said, we're not really picturing folks driving from states away to pay homage to this shack; let's try more giant plasmas, multicolor lights, and glass walls if you ever decide to set up camp in Times Square, alright, RIM?

Farmington Hills might not seem to relevant, but it does border Bloomfield Hills, West Bloomfield and other well-to-cities. a lot of those being the most wealthy in the US (If that means anything)
Who cares what the "it" looks like ... my RIMM stock values keep growing and growing and growing.

That's also how the BlackBerry store looks from the inside. You're only seeing it from the side. It's five times wider at the front. They need the space to show all the BlackBerry models in different colors.
My backyard outhouse is bigger than that.
Still, the only thing that matters is RIM's stock price. If it continues to grow for another six months, who cares what their store looks like. It probably doesn't have much overhead and their sales are most likely dependent upon corporations/businesses.
However, if they think they're trying to hang with the Apple Stores in the brick and mortar trade, they are sadly mistaken. The Fifth Ave. Manhattan Apple store sees more traffic in a day than this BlackBerry store would see in a year. I'll be generous and say six months, instead.

Farmington Hills is located in Oakland County, which is one of the wealthiest counties in the United States. I actually live on the border of Farmington Hills and Northville and believe me its a very nice area....
