Is this Windows Mobile 7?

We know the coverage from Microsoft's Mobius got many mobile fans a little hot under the collar, well we're about to blow the doors off that. The guys over at Engadget have gotten their mitts on some screenies and details on device interaction from what may be Windows Mobile 7. It must be hard you you guys, knowing how WinMo7 looks for a long time, and not being able to comment openly:)
I like the plenty of gesturing with the device involved. Shake the camera to change to BW mode, for example. Seems they are using the camera to detect motion, similar to how optical mouse works.
I hope it changes at least the focus point, otherwise one can do lots of jokes to a WinMo7 user, waving his hand under the device :))
I wonder if any existing devices are capable of running WM7...

Will it have better Enterprise support?
A better way to program to it (SDK)?
Whether they will have a decent way to get music onto the device?
A REAL web browser, and GPS enabled maps?
I dont know about everything else, but your pretty blind if you didnt notice the picture of the real web browser....
I remember reading somewhere that WM7 will have the new PIE6 running with real HTML browsing like the mobile Safari and if Engadget is "asking" if this is WM7 then I'm pretty sure it is since they've known about it for a while and couldn't/can't talk about due to confidentiality agreements with Microsoft. All I have to say about this is sign me up...can't wait for this to come out and with Apple releasing an SDK for the iPhone in a month...it can't come out any faster.
This shiet looks really cool...i might have to put off my purchase of the tilt until more news of this pops up.
I wouldn't reccommend putting off any purchases. Based on the speed of past windows mobile releases, by the time any WM7 devices actually see the light of day (here in the US, at least) we're likely to be voting in the 2012 presidential primaries.
haha, actually...a better thing to say, and what i was really thinking of is if there are any devices released, i would get that, then get a cooked version of the ROM from xda developers...
xda FTW, i can't remember the last time i ran an official wm5/6 ROM on my phones, all cooked. Actually, i'm wondering how HTC my redesign their interface.
It shows t-mobile on the phone but also shows cingular music icon.. weird
I don't even own an iPhone or a Mac, but my god could they rip off the iphone any more?

lol. is rich really talking about apple and stealing in the same sentence? maybe you havent seen their commercials lately.
First they steal all the osx ideas... Now they have jacked th iphone interface! WOW!! Go $Soft! Now THAT'S innovation!! (sheesh)
Oh no! The iPhone took the idea of putting tap-able icons on it's Start screen, just like Palm and 3rd party launchers for WM have fore a few years! [/sarcasm]
The iPhone was a UI refinement of existing products from MS, Palm and Symbian. I have no problem with any of them coming right back and improving their products in turn (not that Palm ever has a clue *sigh*).
Too bad Apple wasn't savvy enough to jack the concept of copy/paste. :D
I must say WM7 is very aesthetically pleasing. Here's hoping they've studied the iPhone's gesture controls and have worked to improve them.
Shame we won't get to use it for another 2-3 years.
