The phone's great - you can customize the themes, flash the firmware to do all kinds of things, install any .jar game out there (for free), use any song as a ringtone (for free, I'm looking at you iPhone), get email from any POP3 server (after flashing firmware). It's not a smartphone, but it's similar to the iPhone in functionality without such a large screen (and without touch).
