The item does come with an international 2 year warranty, as well as an original certified (according to this dealer)! I would NEVER not offer a money back guarantee if I wasn't being honest about an item. OF COURSE, all people who won or bid on this item have that option to get their money back!! So I'm the one stuck with losing my money NOT THE CUSTOMER!! I have replied honestly to all the questions asked. Maybe, I shouldn't have listed the item so soon but, I already bought the phone so they could be shipped out immediately!! I will be more than happy to post any and all pictures of the actual phone, along with the warranty, and certificate supplied to me by my supplier. The whole story just doesn’t add up. Hes selling you a phone that by all accounts was never ever ever produced, it was merely a concept. How many of these “phones” did you purchase? I think you have been scammed.

That is fraud, they misrepresented it, because it is and was broken prior to shipping I have no doubt. So dont ask me to feel sorry for you. Seriously though, I would assume that the "research" you did included looking at the first page of results for a search on "Nokia Aeon," and seeing that the first result was that of Engadget Mobile, the caption as well says "concept phone," and then just assuming that it was in production!

You are a huge liar. You listed wanting to stock the iPhone and the N95, which didn't even exist two years ago. And the post date was 1/22/08. Even if they got that message from somewhere else and reposted it, it would not be even one year old. And I don't even know why you're lying about that. When you posted it is irrelevant.

Why are you trying to guilt people who reported you? That is really sleazy. If your product was real, you would have had nothing to worry about it. And if Engadget readers didn't report you, other people would have. It's widely known that the phone you advertised does not exist.


3. Now is the first time you're really admitting that you might have been scammed. As recently as last night, you posted that chat log with your magical supplier and said you felt so much better about them being real. If you got scammed or were foolish, you should just admit it and stop making stuff up to save face.

It is legal to make phone clones. The other sellers on eBay with active auctions for the fake phone do not claim that it is the real Nokia Aeon. That is why they stay up while yours was taken down. They did enough research to know what they were actually buying, which is clear since they are only selling them for around $250. YOU were claiming to have a magic phone that doesn't exist and were selling it for $1000.


5. And why did your husband say the account was hacked?


In the end, you should consider this a very cheap lesson. You didn't lose any money (yet), you didn't get charged with fraud, and you might have actually learned something about reselling electronics before you even ruined your eBay reputation. This could have turned out much worse for you. Quit whining and realize that you actually came out of this rather lucky.

My dad actually buys gadgets (ipod clones, ect) from China and sells them on eBay.

I was just noting to always do TONS of research on a product, especially if you plan to buy, because I know that some people really aren't honest.
